Igboora High School Alumni elect new executives council.

The Old students association of Igboora High School has elected new set of execuitve officers that will anchor the affairs of the meloneers for the next one year.

Recall that Chief (Dr) Gbade Akinteye led executive was elected in 2024 and 2025 respectively on two terms, after unanimous decision of the congress members both home and abroad. This decision was arrived in tandem with the outstanding performance of the association led executive of Akinteye regime, most especially the achievement of the sixtieth anniversary of the school, which took place in 2024. The re-election of the regime can also be attributed to the renovation of the school hall to a modern and befitting status, while various sets of alumni also donated facilities and infrastructures to the school during these period. These achievements indeed speaks volumes as the old students gathers yearly to consider a change in leadership of the association.

While thanking the old students for their supports in terms of every resources they have invested in the association for their alma mater development, Akinteye urged them to continue extending such a warm goodwill acts to the newly sworned in executives led by new alumni president- Barrister (Dr) Sunday Ojelabi in the spirit of oneness, unity and development of the premier institution which the association is known for.

The annual general meeting of the old student association was well attended by old students across sets 80’s to date, all came from far and near to dialogue on the ways to move the banners of the oldest secondary school in the region to higher altitudes.
