IPU set for sensitization on Drug use and abuse.

The indigenous people of Igboora town under the umbrella of Igboora Progess Union (IPU) in partnership with Asiwaju Dapo Wahab foundation and National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), is set to organize a one day sensitization program tagged Youth seminar on drug abuse; with the theme: Building Commuity of Opportunity: Empowering Drug-Free youths as agents of Change.

Ibarapadaily news learnt from the e-flyers released by the IPU that the event has been scheduled to hold on Saturday 16th May, 2026 at the Community Hall, Saganun, Igboora by 10:00a.m.

The event become so imperative as we collectively fight against drug abuse in our communities, to salvage the future of our children, and to set our communities on a pace of peace, tranquility and development. This is the focus of the IPU as they set to educate participants through engagements of: Experts talk, delvings into Real life stories, Group discussions, Questions and answers, Skills acquisition, and many more.

Stakeholders and key participants are expected across Igboora and its environs, as the hosts: Prince Tayo Akinyemi (Director, Media (IPU), Dr. Jide Olaopa (General Secretary, IPU), and Prince Ajibolu Oke ( Director, Youth Affairs, IPU) will be on ground to oversee the success of the event.
