The All Progressives Congress (APC) national secretariat has warned party members to desist from sponsoring publication of primary election results and candidacy claims pending the decisions of the national secretariat through the Central Results Collation Center, Abuja.

Official letter from the National secretariat of the APC through its National organizing secretary.

This warning was contained in a letter released by the national organizing secretary of the party H.E Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu who made it clear that only the central results collation center will decide to choose an appropriate time to officially announce the party’s candidates in the next year election. He further described the actions of those publishing lists of candidates shortly after the house of Representatives primary elections as an act borne out of desperation, culpable of disorganizing the party and further create rancours.

In Oyo state for example, few hours after the primary election which results is being compiled, some aspirants still go ahead in sponsoring publications to openly declare themselves, even when the party is yet to make an official statement from its national secretariat.

Argungu condemned the act in its entirety and advised whoever (irrespective of their status) doing such to desist from it with immediate effect, otherwise such a person will be sanctioned by the party uppermost hierarchy.

Ibarapadailynews reliably gathered that a top politician from Oyo state has been indicted to have been behind the manipulation of the guidelines and directives given by the national secretariat. An insider information revealed that he was summoned to Abuja late yesterday night for interrogation by the national executive of the party, with serious warnings.

The National secretariat of the APC further disclosed that the result of all party primaries and publication of the party’s candidates will be made available and published as soon as the entire process is concluded.
