Anxiety has continue to grow across Igangan town in Ibarapa North local government area of Oyo state, as mysteries continue to surround the latest antics of money rituality involving dog biting leading to the deaths of victims within the town.
According to our reporter, not less than three people (including a toddler) have been reported dead within the last few days, with the cause of their death attributed to strange dog bites.
While an eye witness claimed that one of the victims (now deceased) died shortly after he was bitten by a strange dog, which the community first thought was suffering from an ailment. However, anxiety keeps growing as two more other people were said to have died through same scenario within a week.
The most shocking part of the news is that the mysterious dogs were said to have disappeared immediately after successful bite, only to leave the victim dead few hours later.
It was also gathered that the monarch from the town- Asigangan of Iganganland HRM Oba Rafiu Olaniyi Adeniyi J.P (Ariwoola Aako II) summoned an emergency meeting after he had consulted the oracle and it was established that the incidence is coming from people who just discovered the strange money ritual power.
One of the elders from the town who pleaded anonymity lamented that it is so unfortunate that young people no longer want to work to make money these days. ” You can imagine the type of cars they are driving, the big houses they are building everywhere. They are even doing various religious goodwill using unknown source of wealth.
At the end of the meeting, the town resolved that any dog spotted within the town should be chased and killed immediately, without looking for who the owner is, and whoever come out to attack anyone for this act should be reported as identified as a key suspect in the new money ritual tactics being circulated.
